Spicy Lamb Meatballs
SERVINGS: 4-6
INGREDIENTS
- 1 pound ground lamb
- 1.5 teaspoons fresh oregano, finely chopped
- ¼ cup red onion, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon garlic cloves, minced
- 1.5 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 medium egg
- ¼ cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1.5 teaspoons Dad’s Own
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- Heat a small saucepan over medium heat, add oil, and saute garlic for 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
- In a large bowl, thoroughly mix together the remaining ingredients. Using about a tablespoon each, make small balls of the mixture and place them on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper.
- Heat a medium-sized skillet over medium-high heat. Roll each meatball into the garlic oil to coat and saute for 2-3 minutes without touching. Flip each meatball and continue to cook for another 2 minutes. This can be done in batches.
Serving: Best served with tzatziki sauce or green goddess sauce as a side or appetizer. These can also be added to noodles with a cream sauce to make an excellent pasta dish. Double the red pepper flakes for extra spice.
